Superhuman: Natural Power

National Geographic, 7.30pm

Meet Phil Pfister, the world's strongest man, as he sets out to defend his title and establish new world records. Then consider how extraordinary circumstances can produce unexpected feats of human strength, such as the mother who lifted a car off her injured daughter. And consider what some regarded as the toughest strongman feat of all, inflating a hot water bottle with nothing but lung power. Don't try it at home.

Cook Yourself Thin

Lifestyle, 7.30pm

If it is true, as suggested here, that the average woman spends 30 years of her life dieting but 60 per cent remain overweight, then consider Gizzi, Harry, Sal and Sophie, four new TV cooks who regularly have their cake and eat it too - and still look good. The four are serious foodies who insist the dishes they prepare must taste great; none of those healthy food fads. Their claim is that a woman can drop a dress size in six weeks and still stuff her face - and they can prove it.

The Wedding Day

(2002) World Movies, 8.30pm

A light, lively and cynical comedy about a disastrous wedding where the bride has clearly made a misguided decision and most of the guests are vocal about their own rocky marriages. Didier Caron's hit play brought to the screen.
