Synopsis

The story of "The Wizard of Oz" is very magical, inspiring, and enchanting. This award-winning film won various awards and recognitions including Academy Awards Best Picture and Visual Effects nominations. The movie was also shown in over ten countries, which proves that the "The Wizard of Oz" is one of the best movies of all-time.

The plot of "The Wizard of Oz" revolves around the little girl, Dorothy, who is in dire need to go home from a strange world. When a cyclone takes her and her pet dog Toto in the Land of Oz, Dorothy faces numerous wonderful and engrossing adventures.

While Dorothy was in the land of the Oz, the girl meets a lot of characters like the Good Witch of the North who gives her the Ruby Slippers, which only make her traveling safe at all times. Dorothy also crosses the path with a Tin Man whose desire is to have a heart, a Scarecrow who displays his utter wish to possess a brain, and a Cowardly Lion who is in sire need to have courage.

When the pack travels, the characters face troubles and hardships caused by the Wicked Witch of the East. They also meet the Wizard of Oz who also brings them great adventures. But after all the hardships and challenges, Dorothy's friends got what they desire. Dorothy and Toto also managed to go home with the help of the Good Witch of the North.

"The Wizard of Oz", one of the famous works of L.Frank Baum, is a perfect film for children and for those who are young at heart. The movie teaches a lesson about finding the heart's desires. It became a big hit because people can see themselves in the characters of the film who are apparently trying to achieve their dreams.

Aside from its interesting plot, the music of "The Wizard of Oz" makes the film extraordinary. E.Y. Harburg and Harold Arlen did a splendid job in creating the lyrics and music of the outstanding craft. The most unforgettable song used in the project was "Over the Rainbow", which won various Academy Awards such as Best Music, Original Score.
